UC Browser Review
UC Browser is a Chinese web browser based on the WebKit engine, much like the Safari browser. UC Browser is an open-source web browser developed by Chinese internet firm UCWeb, a part of the Alimbi Group. It is currently the 8th most used mobile browser in China, and the second most downloaded mobile app for the year and the seventh most downloaded app of all time.
UC Browser is mainly intended for Chinese and Indonesian users, but it is also available in other languages such as Korean, Turkish, Italian and several Indian languages. Users of this browser can browse the Web using the tap of a finger on their smartphones. The layout of this browser is very similar to that of Safari, with a few differences. For example, on the top navigation bar there is a menu option for accessing commonly used tools such as the address bar, history, bookmarks, and the language selection tools. Some additional features include the feature to access the Internet via Wi-Fi or 3G while browsing, support for PDF viewing and the downloading of videos.
Another unique feature of UC Browser is its “night mode”. This feature allows you to browse the web in a lower brightness setting. This feature has been available on a few other web browsers, but it is only now available on UC Browser. The reason for this is the fact that there are many more people using smartphones with low-light settings than there were a few years ago, and therefore the need for this feature was felt more highly necessary. However, this is an excellent feature that should definitely not be overlooked, especially if you plan to use your UC Browser throughout the night.
Like many other browsers available in the market today, UC Browser also comes with a number of add-ons which can help customize it further. These add-ons are designed for a variety of different users such as power-users, learners and marketers. There are a number of themes and templates that are already pre-installed, however there are also a number of “add-on” themes that can be selected from. These add-ons usually do not break the functionality of the browser app itself.
The basic user experience of UC Browser is very straightforward, with navigation through the main pages being quite simple. The basic features include a browser home page which contains a search box and an integrated search module. To start browsing, you either launch it directly by clicking the ” UC Browser” icon, or by clicking the “Tools” icon from the main menu. This sub-tab has a menu where you can switch between the main window and the search module. The search function of UC Browser allows you to search the web via a keyword, which is entered during registration. Moreover, the advanced features available in the main window, such as the language selection tool, the built-in translator, etc., make using the application quite simple for anyone who wishes to surf the Internet with little or no knowledge of web programming.
Another major advantage of UC Browser is that it offers a full featured and easy to use web browsing environment that is free of any viruses and spyware. Unlike many other browsers and web applications, UC Browser does not require any plug-ins to run. This makes it a viable choice for a number of different platforms such as Windows, Mac OS and Linux. In addition, it offers basic security protection against hackers and other unscrupulous individuals. Most of these security measures are built into the browser automatically, so you do not need to worry about them unless you wish to implement some of them yourself.
UC Browser is ideal for people who wish to browse the Internet on their mobile phones. The mobile version of UC Browser offers a very simple browsing environment which is very easy on the eyes. It offers a very fast browsing speed, and loads pages quickly. In fact, it has the ability to load pages up to five times faster than most other browsers, making it an excellent choice for browsing all types of material on the mobile platform. This means that you can use UC Browser on your android cell phone and not have to worry about waiting a long time for a page to load – something that many other browsers on the mobile platform cannot offer.
UC Browser also offers a night mode which is available for people who use the device in low light conditions or who wish to have more control over the web browser. This feature is extremely useful for people who use their UC Browser while travelling outdoors during the day. The built-in screen wipes meant for this feature mean that you will never have to worry about accidentally deleting any web files you may have. UC Browser also offers a number of add-on features that are designed to make the experience of using the web browser more fun and interesting.
